But they don't allow batteries on board when flying out from J&K - i.e. from Ladakh or Srinagar. In hindsight it all turned out to be a sham.

Re: Ladakh Vacation – last days

I always take my camera (Nikon D40 with batteries) in my cabin baggage. It is a family-run guest house and we had a great time. They have a website with upto-date contact info: http://www.padmaladakh.net/. They are indeed open during winters.

Cheers!

Re: Ladakh Vacation – last days

Namaste. Thanks for such a lovely description of your travels in Ladakh. Gorgeous photos ! ! !
I have been picking them up for some time and nice to follow the journey's to it's finish.
I am Australian and will leave 16th November for a week in Nepal before venturing to Ladakh ! I will probably not be able to do as much moving around as you did, but I am looking forward to the experience. Would you be kind enough to tell me the name of the Guest House where you stayed in Leh? And their email address also ? Are they open for Winter? It is always nice to know of a place which has been enjoyed by another traveller. Many thanks, Marcia.

Re: Moonlight On Ubuntu 7.04

It actually takes some time to get hang of it.. buts isnt it a wonderful OS.. just love the flexibility.. and not spoon feeding as windows does..

Dentists in Brighton

Re: Ladakh Vacation – Day 2

Loved to read your blog. The worst we experienced was a little difficulty in breathing and a mild headache which was gone by our 3rd day. A lot of rest and a lot of water helped.

Re: Ladakh Vacation – Day 2

Did you take Diamox or any other medication for Altitude sickness?

Re: And There Was Light

Awesome pixs boss !!! Each lens has a minimum focussing distance and if you cross that the lens will be unable to focus on your subject. Try standing a little farther, zoom in as much as your camera's zoom will allow and click.

Re: And There Was Light

Hi deepak, this is rajesh (former mvp from chennai) have a few queries using a Canon S2 Is. when trying to get too close to a flower and try to focus it never focuses and gives a sharp preview but the items that are at the back seems to get the focus and it is impossible to take close up of flowers. what am i doing wrong. can you guide how to get close ups of flowers especially in the rains using a canon S2 IS.

M.
